In a ceremony on Saturday, July 2, the first specialized laboratory in Iran tasked with testing the infrastructure of charging systems of electric vehicles was inaugurated in MAPNA Group.
Held at MAPNA Electric & Control, Engineering & Manufacturing Co. (MECO), the inauguration ceremony was attended by MAPNA Group President Abbas Aliabadi as well as Iranian vice president and head of the National Standard Organization Mehdi Eslampanah.
Addressing the event, Eslampanah described the industry and products of MAPNA Group as a source of “national pride”, calling MAPNA “a capable group” and “a symbol of self-confidence in the country.”
“MAPNA Group is a company with international standards and is spreading standard products, services, laboratories, and processes across the country which lead to increasing knowledge,” he said, adding that when talking about industry and standard, the quality that the Group presents is exemplary.
He also hoped that electric motors and chargers with high standards would be commercialized inside the country.
MAPNA President Abbas Aliabadi said that MAPNA Group is moving on the edge of technology, reminding that the company is still at the outset of the development path and enjoys a high potential for growth.
“MAPNA Group has acted as problem solution enterprise so far, but the strategy that we pursue today is that of creating the future,” he said.
Pointing to the features of the opened lab, he noted that the facility sets sight on the future. “The development of electric transportation requires suitable infrastructure and this laboratory seeks to implement standards for developing infrastructure”, he said.
All EV chargers, either manufactured domestically or abroad, can undergo evaluations in the specialized laboratory and receive official credentials. The installed equipment in the laboratory are among the best and most precise evaluation systems being used in the world in the field of charging infrastructure.
