Head of Mobile Telecommunications Company of Iran (MCI) Mehdi Akhavan-Behabadi visited MAPNA Group on Tuesday, September 22, 2021.
Akhavan-Behabadi was received by MAPNA President Abbas Aliabadi and other senior managers, who presented the Group’s history, fields of activity, products and achievements.
The MCI head and his delegation then toured the factories of MAPNA Electric & Control Engineering & Manufacturing Company (MECO), and were briefed on the company’s capabilities in the electrification of the country’s transportation fleet.
The MCI head visited the design and manufacture sites of EV battery packs, drives, engines and EV chargers.
Akhavan-Behabadi highlighted the need to keep up with the global trends in the development of cutting-edge technologies and stressed his company’s willingness to cooperate with MAPNA Group in the areas of mutual interest.
Aliabadi, for his part, noted that electrification of the transportation fleet is atop MAPNA’s agenda, saying that collaboration with telecommunication companies, which play a vital role in providing communication infrastructure, can hugely contribute to realize this goal.
