Two MAPNA-Developed Small-Scale Power Plants in SW Iran Receive FAC

Small-scale power plants of Lour and Tangevan, which have been developed by MAPNA Group, received their final acceptance certificates (FAC).

Lour power plant (also known as Andimeshk I) and Tangevan (also known as Andimeshk II) have been constructed in northern region of Khuzestan province by the direct investment of MAPNA Investment Division.

The operation for constructing the power plants started in early December 2019 and despite restrictions imposed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, both units were completed and synchronized to the unit in September 2020.

With each having 25 MWs of capacity, the two power plants have been built to reduce voltage fluctuations and increase the grid’s stability in the region.

Lour and Tangevan power plants sell the generated electricity under a power purchase agreement with the state-owned Khuzestan Regional Electricity Company.

Lour and Tangevan are operated by MAPNA Genaveh Power Generation Company and MAPNA Sanandaj Power Generation Company repsectively.
